How to Choose the Next Level of Support You Need to Achieve Your Long-Term Business Goals
In this episode of Aligned & Ambitious Radio, we’re talking all about how to choose the support you need for your long-term business goals.
Building a business can be seriously overwhelming, and it’s hard to choose a direction when you feel like you should be doing ALL THE THINGS. But there are a few questions you can ask yourself to make sure you’re taking the right steps you need.
Do you need to learn a skill?
You don't need to follow the crowd, and you don't need to join the program your friend is joining. You need to assess what YOU actually need to get to the next level in your business. For example, if you’re looking to learn a specific skill set, a self-study course or an online learning program is probably going to fit your needs.
You wouldn't join a mastermind if you’re really just trying to hone in on a skill or get some templates. So figure out what you really need at this moment and tailor your next step from there.
Do you need shared energy and momentum?
Maybe you already have the foundational skill sets you need, but you’re feeling a little isolated in your journey. Maybe you want to bounce around some ideas in collaborative conversations with people who are on the same journey as you. Maybe you feel like you need a little bit more personalized feedback. In that case, I’d definitely recommend a mastermind group.
I’ve met some of my absolute best friends in a mastermind, and it has paid off well beyond the mastermind itself. When I'm in a mastermind and I can share an idea with people who have different experiences and perspectives, it really, really gets the creative juices flowing. So if you're resonating with that, I would totally recommend looking for a group container where you're going to not just have access and support from whoever the facilitator or the mentor is, but you're also going into a group of powerful women.
Do you feel like you need extra 1:1 attention?
Maybe you’re in a space where you need someone else who is laser-focused on giving you feedback on your projects. You might be pretty independent at this point in your business, so a lot of implementation is going to be either done or delegated at this point. Maybe you need someone in your corner who you can get quick feedback and support from.
In that case, you're probably ready to work with someone at a more 1:1 or advanced level. If so, I would encourage you to find a coach or mentor who can be there for you on an as-needed basis.
How to Choose the Next Level of Support You Need to Achieve Your Long-Term Business Goals: Main Takeaways
You’re probably going to fall into one of these three brackets that I mentioned. So assess what your needs are. Like I said, you don't have to join a program because your friend joined a program. Get clear on what you personally want and need, and then seek out support from that place.
So I hope this episode gave you some clarity on where to go next for your long-term business goals. What kind of support are you craving? Go get that support. Say yes to that support. Join that program, or sign with that coach.
